Lloyd Hayes converted a Morgan Veness score before Rosslyn replied through Arthur Ellis and James, only for Harry Newborn’s try to make it 17-14 to Roth at the break.
They pulled clear after Hayes landed following Travis Gordon’s bonus-point effort, only for the visitors to cut the gap to three via Ewan Fenley and James.
A Hayes penalty extended the lead again, and ultimately proved decisive as Fenley’s second was not added to at the death.

Club nil county rivals, Plymouth bounce back
Blackheath produced a statement 40-0 Kent derby win at home to Tonbridge Juddians.
Ed Dunford added to tries from Billy Harding and Oskar Hirsky-Douglas for 14-0 at half-time, and a final-quarter flourish saw Jordan Burns, Josh Smart, Dunford and Kyle McGhie all dot down, three more conversions completing the scoring.
A rollicking finish from Plymouth Albion ended with the hosts hammering Dings Crusaders 64-17.
The visitors made a dream start as Lewis O’Grady converted a Max Rivers try, Plymouth replying with two of their own through Bobby Wigginton and Archie Hill along with the boot of Frankie Dart.
Matt Bowler went over for Crusaders to cut the gap, but it was 19-12 at the interval after Harry Wilkinson touched down.
Dings drew first blood early in the second period as Sol O’Brien-Taufa crossed, but it was one-way traffic from there as Dan Pullinger, Wigginton, Jack Oulton, Oscar Beckerleg, Angus Hodges, Harry Legg and Shea Cornish all went over, Dart’s boot adding 10 more points for a final personal haul of 14.

Dogs continue to bark, Tykes get first win
Sale made it four wins on the spin with a dominant 43-12 home triumph versus Bishop’s Stortford.
Will Davies was on target for the Dogs after Pete Vickers and Seb Kelly (two) scored in the opening 40 minutes, the bonus secured on 46 minutes as Nev Edwards made it 26-0.
Tom Mills got Stortford on the board, but Sale replied as Davies converted his own try and Mark Dixon and Edwards went over.
David Hayes added seven points at the death for Bishop’s.

Leeds Tykes collected their first win of the season with a 27-24 home triumph against Clifton.
Ed Crossland converted a second-minute Luke Walsh try for the hosts before the Bristolians equalised through Tom Hargan and Tom Quinlan.
Tykes regained the lead early in the second period as Crossland was again on target following a Will Yates effort, Clifton again levelling via Ollie Harris and Quinlan.
A Crossland penalty made it 17-14, only for George Davey to put Clifton in front.
However, Crossland added another three-pointer before converting Seb Krippner’s try, Ricky Cano’s late response only enough to snatch two bonus-points for the away side.

Bradshaw brilliance helps Tigers tame Lions
Bertie Bradshaw scored four tries as Sedgley Park consigned Leicester Lions to the foot of the table with a 52-29 home win.
It was 14-0 at a point-per-minute as Ollie Glasse converted a Bob Birtwell try and Bradshaw’s first, Lui Natui hitting back before Bradshaw doubled up for 19-7.
Monty Loggenberg grabbed a second for Lions before a Joe Bedlow seven-pointer made it 26-10 at half-time.
Bradshaw completed his hat-trick, Glasse again on target, but Lions kept fighting through Loggenberg.
Luke Bouchier’s kick reduced the deficit to 33-17, only for Bradshaw to keep going with his fourth – Glasse landing twice more after Lewis Bradley also touched down.
Leicester kept going, however, and Bouchier slotted after Joe Patrick crossed, unconverted tries from Tigers’ Jacob Tansey and Leicester’s Joe Britton completing the scoring.
Rams made it five wins in six games as they downed Birmingham Moseley 31-28 at Old Bath Road.
