Aided by fellow scrum guru Glyn Mosses, Owen had the forwards on fire throughout the campaign.
And this was reflected in the Players’ Player of the Year votes, where No. 8 Willo Bicknell took the gong.
Captain’s Player of the Year, tight-head prop Ryan Lomas, was runner-up with Harry Stone taking the bronze medal.
A penalty try from the scrum came as early as the first game at Sedgley Park.
Here eventual leading scorer Max Hayman finished things from close range following a typically powerful maul.
The skipper scored 17 times before his campaign injury hit at Plymouth Albion.
And Max was only stopped from adding to his tally at Sale when a powerful maul was illegally halted for a second penalty try in Week Three.
Another game won by the pack came seven days later.
This time it was James Baker who took man-of-the-match honours at home to Tonbridge Juddians.
The Leeds Tykes scrum was then obliterated in Week Five.
This was a game which saw the hosts remarkably receive five yellow cards in a 19-7 reverse.
The third forwards’ led PT came at Leicester Lions, where the maul was simply unstoppable as Hayman scored four himself along in a 38-24 triumph.
In total the forwards racked up 52 tries (including the penalty tries), with Hayman leading the way.
Bicknell crossed 10 times with Stone adding six.
Hooker Pete Austin grabbed two along with Mikey Duda, Lomas, Max Marshall and Aaron Tull.
And there was one apiece for Ben Atkins, Baker, Fergus Dick, Liam Elston, Paddy Harris and the retiring 145-cap hero Connor Stapley.
*Well done Owen, richly deserved!
