RYAN ROARS TO PLAYER OF THE MONTH PRIZE

RYAN Lomas grabbed 50 per cent of the fans’ vote to be crowned February’s Player of the Month.

The tight-head prop enjoyed a trio of sterling displays against Clifton, Blackheath and Bishop’s Stortford.

His sensational boot-lace pick-up in Clubhouse Corner proved a social media hit in the Clifton success, while Ryan scored his second try of the campaign against Stortford.

The Irishman now has 45 first-team appearances, with a half-century in sight if he plays the five remaining games this term.

Versatile Harry Stone – who scored in all three February fixtures – was runner-up for the second time this term.

The 21-year-old second/back row also took the silver medal in October.

Leading try-scorer and captain Max Hayman, along with recent centurion Ellis Jones, were the other two shortlisted players.

Rams enjoy a weekend off before heading to Plymouth Albion next Saturday.

Leicester Lions are the next visitors to Old Bath Road on March 21 (3pm).
