A third National One in four games was founded on scrum domination, man-of-the-match James Baker proving destructive on his first start of the campaign.
Doubles from Morgan MacRae and Luke Graham, added to by scores from Axel Kalling-Smith and Charlie Robson were topped up by five conversions, four from Mike Cooke and the last via Andrew Lamb.
For TJs, Nathan Earle crossed twice and Tom Kendrick with the final-play.
Commenting on the pack, Owen started: “The boys did a fantastic job. We spoke in the week about how much TJs’ scrum had caused other teams’ problems and reviewed it as something which needed to be respected.
“It was great to have (James) Baker back in there and showing he’s as good as ever with his tactical understanding, technical ability and he was outstanding.
“It added some control to our game and even though by the end we had a whole new front row, everyone else stepped up and they continued in the same vein.”

‘Unbelievable’ Baker takes plaudits
He continued: “James is unbelievable – I remember playing behind him which was a privilege and a bit of an arm-chair ride if I’m honest.
“What he’s been able to do for such a long time is incredible, but he’s just the ultimate professional.
“He takes care of his body, listens to the advice he’s given and for him to grow in the way he has during recent years, with the side playing a quicker game of rugby, is a credit to him.
“He’s had to work hard to adapt, but he’s done it quietly, with huge humility and we respect him for it.”
Continuity game impresses again
While it was the pack who set the platform, all six tries came from the three-quarters and Owen is enjoying what he sees.
He explained: “At times we won some lovely collisions, got on the front foot and it allows the continuity game to come into play.
“For the second try James made the decision not to off-load, presented it well so we could get away and play.
“The guys are working to get into the right places and you’ve got to credit (DoR) Seb (Reynolds) and (attack coach) Harry (Stapleton) because it’s been exciting to watch the development this year.”
MacRae’s brace made it five in four games since swapping to inside centre, and Owen joked: “We’re still in negotiations about fully releasing him from the forwards union!
“But he’s got fantastic pedigree and has been showing why he’s got international sevens pedigree with Wales – he did another couple of bits today which were superb.

“His footwork, desire to beat a man and get the team on the front foot is outstanding, and he’s another guy whose done things properly in training and taken on the challenge.
“But the work’s never done. He’ll go away and know there are things he can improve, the same with James and all the other guys. We’ve got to keep improving every week.”
Praise for wing and supporters
It was also a day to savour for Graham who made his first start of the calendar year, his double helping the feel-good atmosphere bolstered by 784 fans in attendance.
Owen concluded: “Fair play to Luke – it’s not been the easiest transition because he’s had his injury battles and it’s been tough for him.
“I’ve felt for him because it’s seemed like his body won’t give him the breaks he needed, but it was great to see him out there and finishing the lovely score in the corner.
“Then to make the read, get the interception and go the length of the field, I hope he enjoyed it because he deserves it in terms of how hard he’s worked.

“The club continues to move forward in every way, just looking at the new Sheeplands Baa, the scoreboard, it looks great and the fans continue to bring the energy.
“I say it every time, but they can never underestimate what they bring to Old Bath Road.”
