Recent Form:

After a touch start to the campaign, the Yorkshiremen have picked up noticeably to stay well and truly in the survival mix.

Despite a narrow 19-14 defeat to Sale last Friday, Tykes produced one of the results of the season in stunning Rotherham Titans 19-18 in their last game of 2025.

Losses at Blackheath (36-28) and against Birmingham Moseley (42-17) were preceded by fine victories versus Tonbridge Juddians (38-31) and Dings Crusaders (26-17).

Two setbacks against Rosslyn Park (53-17) and Leicester Lions (24-19) followed a stunning 46-36 away win at Bishop’s Stortford and an opening success versus Clifton (27-24).

Last season’s National Two North champions were beaten in their first five games of the campaign by Rams (19-7), Sale (38-15), Sedgley Park (20-8), Rotherham (52-12) and Plymouth Albion (45-12).

Players to Watch:

Ed Crossland – Summer signing from Otley, the fly-half is Tykes’ second highest point scorer with 42 (12 conversions and six penalties) sitting only behind Seramaia Turagbeci (58).

The stand-off helped Yorkshire to runners-up in last season’s Bill Beaumont County Championship

Seb Krippner – Sale Sharks loan wing has given Leeds a cutting edge with five tries in seven appearances, including three in his past four.

The teenager made a big impact for Rossendale early season with five scores in four National Two North outings.

The ex-Kirkham School student started his career at Randwick in Sydney, Australia, before moving to the UK, where he joined Sandbach.

Bertie Bradshaw – Another Sharks speedster who scored a sensational solo score for Sedgley Park at Old Bath Road last term.

Grabbed six tries in four games for Tigers – including four versus Leicester Lions – before switching to The Sycamores.

A fast start has seen him bag doubles against Blackheath and Rotherham Titans in three games so far.

Also played twice for Sharks in the PREM Rugby Cup last November.
