NATIONAL ONE TEAMS FOR 2026/27 CONFIRMED

LONDON Scottish’s 27-7 Champ Accession play-off defeat to Blackheath means the 14 teams for the National One 2026/27 campaign are now complete.

Exiles went down to Club at The RAG on Saturday, meaning they will be one of three new clubs Rams face in the league next term.

Scottish finished second-bottom in the second tier but then lost 34-15 to Richmond before falling to their fellow Londoners.

The other two newbies to Rams are National Two West campions Camborne, who won their division with 22 wins and four defeats.

The Cornishmen racked up 113 league points and enjoyed a +448 differential having scored a phenomenal 1,106.

National Two North champions Sheffield went unbeaten for their first 22 matches in winning the title.

Despite late slips at Tynedale and Otley with silverware sorted, they enjoyed a magnificent campaign which saw them drop just nine league points all season.

Their tally of 121 was backed up with an equally impressive differential of +574.

Sheffield also grabbed 24 try bonus points from their 26 games.

And they were ruthless in defence shipping only 467 points.

Bury back on the scene

Bury St Edmunds are the other newcomers to Level Three, though have faced Rams eight times before.

They enjoyed a phenomenal second-half surge featuring nine wins in their past 10 games to take the title with 20 wins and a draw.

They tallied 108 league points and scored a remarkable 1,128 in claiming the trophy.

The other sides Rams will lock horns with are becoming familiar adversaries.

Plymouth Albion finished third and did the double over Seb Reynolds’ men before losing to Blackheath in the initial play-off.

Rosslyn Park finished fourth, Sale fifth and Bishop’s Stortford last term.

Tonbridge Juddians were superb on their return to National One, though Rams produced one of their greatest ever fightbacks in winning 35-33 away from a 26-7 half-time deficit.

Leeds Tykes were terrific in the second half of the campaign as they climbed to ninth, while Dings Crusaders escaped relegation jeopardy one place back.

Finally, Birmingham Moseley retained their spot with play-off wins against Luctonians and then Oundle.

Fixtures for next season’s campaign are due to be released in the weeks to come.
