Eight straight for Club, Dogs stay in hunt
Third-placed Blackheath are just four points off top after extending their winning run to eight matches on the back of a 61-28 success at Sedgley Park.
But Club were made to work hard, scoring a sensational five tries in 11 minutes early in the third quarter to seal the deal.
Billy Harding broke the league’s try-scoring record with his 43rd of the campaign to put the visitors in front early on.
Sedge replied through Rhys Henderson, though, Oli Glasse with the extras.
Sam Morley added to a Noah Sloot score to nudge Blackheath 12-5 up.
But a Glasse seven-pointer had Tigers in front at the break.
A quick-fire converted double from Josh Smart and Jake Hennessey powered Club 26-14 in front before Alex Benbattouche went over for the hosts.
Glasse landed to cut the gap to five, but Blackheath then ran riot.
Tom Hughes, Tom Emery and Morley all crossed before Hennessey doubled his tally.
Kyle McGhie got the last and with Morley adding to all, the game was well gone before Tigers snatched what could be a crucial try bonus.
Danny Rylance was the scorer with Glasse claiming the final points.

Sale FC kept their play-off hopes alive with an exhilarating 47-31 home triumph against Birmingham Moseley.
The Dogs took a 14-0 lead as James Robins converted tries from Stone Priestley-Nangle and Tom Walsh.
Austin Nevitt reduced the deficit, Tighe Maxwell-Whiteley with the extras.
But an Andy Hughes seven-pointer reasserted the lead for the hosts.
Maxwell-Whiteley was again on target after Freddie Painter went over before the break, leaving things 21-14 at the interval.
Sale sealed the bonus as Mark Bradley went over, Robins making it four from four, only for Mose to hit back again through Santiago Edwards and their star kicker.
Walsh and Maxwell-Whiteley exchanged tries for 33-26, but Fergus Mulchrone dotted down with five minutes to play to ease home nerves.
Robins extended the lead before Travis Allcock replied with Mose’s fifth try.
But Nathan Langdon finished the job for Sale, Robins adding the Coup de Gras.

Park slip-up as Stortford maintain terrific form
Rosslyn Park’s outside play-off hopes were all but ended with a 59-33 reverse at in-form Bishop’s Stortford.
Early tries from Tom Mills and Tom Hitchcock gave the hosts a dream start, Chris Bolton converting the second.
Ed Morgan added to Max Fraine’s effort for Park, but Stortford moved further clear with Hitchcock and Seva Kava seven-pointers.
Fraine and Alex Gilham exchanged converted tries for 33-14 at half-time.
The end-to-end action continued as Sam Kennaugh and Will Rogers did the same, Park then closing to within seven points after Jack Digby and Tom Stanton touched down, Morgan with another kick.
But Bishop’s regrouped and closed out the contest thanks to Kava’s second plus tries from Asa Stewart-Harris and Damian Ducci, Bolton with two more conversions.

Tykes and Clifton boost survival hopes
Leeds Tykes took a major step towards survival with an incredible 53-48 home win against Tonbridge Juddians.
Sebi Krippner and the boot of Ed Crossland put the Yorkshiremen ahead before Vince Everitt got TJs on the board.
Kieran Davies and Curtis Barnes exchanged seven-pointers, Connor Lloyd the visiting kicker, before Leeds added two more.
These came from Charlie Venables and Crossland, the hosts 28-12 up at the end of the first quarter.
Barnes grabbed a second and Tom Kendrick went over before the break, a Lloyd nudge cutting the gap to four points.

Crossland kicked a penalty before Lloyd added to his own score for an even game.
But Krippner reached a hat-trick and Crossland added two more kicks for 45-31.
TJs refused to give in, though, remarkably tying things up as Barnes completed his treble after Kendrick scored his second.
Krippner made it four to restore Leeds’ advantage, Crossland knocking over a penalty before Lloyd salvaged a losing bonus-point with one of his own.

Clifton leapfrogged Dings Crusaders and climbed out of the drop zone with a come-from-behind 28-24 Bristol derby home win.
Tom Quinlan converted Mitchell Spencer’s 13th-minute try for the hosts, but Dings levelled immediately through Harry Rowson and George Boulton.
Archie Stanley crossed to put Dings up at the start of the second quarter, only for Quinlan to add to Max McCarthy’s score.
The visitors led at the break thanks to a Sam Scott seven-pointer, extending the lead as Rowson doubled up.
But Clifton dug deep and claimed victory with two tries in the final 13 minutes.
