MIKE COOKE’S UP A FULL HOUSE OF STARTS

FLY-HALF Mike Cooke leads the way with most minutes played for Rams during the opening 14 games of the season, while Paddy Harris has continued his incredible appearance record with another matchday full house.

Summer signing Mike, who was forced off midway through the first half during Saturday’s defeat at Dings Crusaders, has started every game so far – the only player to do so.

Loose-head prop Paddy, meanwhile, last term’s iron man who featured in every outing, has now featured in a remarkable 47 consecutive National One fixtures.

Trio have missed just one apiece

Zach Clow, Harry Stone and another off-season recruit, No. 8 Willo Bicknell, have all started 13 times, with captain Max Hayman and Axel Kalling-Smith 12.

Ben Atkins, James Baker – who reached an incredible 450 first-team caps in Bristol – and scrum-half Ollie Hodgson have also only missed two games.

Long-serving Connor Stapley has gone from the off in 11 matches, while joint top-scorer Morgan MacRae, Mikey Duda, Aaron Tull and Ryan Lomas have all added to their appearance tally with a combination of starting and replacement efforts.

Marvellous Marris a centurion

Ant Marris reached 100 caps against Leeds and has 10 so far this term, with Rowan Grundy, free-scoring Oli Rhoads and one of the break-out stars so far, second row Liam Elston, featuring nine times.

Royal Air Force scrum-half Sam Boxhall and Andrew Lamb both have eight, with Charlie Robson and Ellis Jones two fewer on six.

Prolific wing Luke Graham averages a try-per-game from his five starts, with prop George Breese starting twice and making three appearances off the bench.

Two more No. 9s, fit-again Ed Hoadley – who missed more than a year through injury – and Louis Pereira, have four caps apiece so far.

Bath loanee Tom Cowan impressed in his three starts before being moved onto Worcester Warriors, while young prop Max Marshall has come off the bench the same number of times.

Army captain Pete Austin and Bath flyer Henry Bartlett have started twice, with teenage lock Paddy Jackson coming off the bench in a brace of substitute efforts.

The remainder of the 36 players to appear for Rams this term all have one cap to their name, Tomek Pozniak going from the off at Leeds Tykes and Harry Bicknell and Max Brown making debuts from the bench against Leicester Lions and Plymouth Albion respectively.

Jasper Spandler did the same versus Tonbridge Juddians.
