Rams were 14-0 down at half-time thanks to tries from Imi Qorowale and Pete Austin, with the Red Shirts pulling clear as Jack Johnson again added the extras after Matt Dawson, Joey Walker and Josh Wright crossed the whitewash.
However, it was the hosts who had the final word, their man-of-the-match Jack Rampton touching down in front of Clubhouse Corner before James Gilman converted.
