Boxhall is partnered at half-back by Mike Cooke, outstanding in racking up 18 points from the tee in last Saturday’s record-breaking 73-24 home success against Dings Crusaders.
Outside backs remain unchanged
Two-try inside centre Morgan MacRae, who also helped set-up captain Max Hayman for what looks likely to be the National League Rugby Try of the Week, is again paired in midfield by Ellis Jones.
The back three of Axel Kalling-Smith (two), Charlie Robson and Zach Clow all crossed the whitewash at Old Bath Road and looked a prolific combination of pace and power, the trio retaining their places for the trip to Heywood Road.
Up front captain Hayman – who grounded his own grubber for a stunner last week – is again sandwiched by props Paddy Harris and Irishman Ryan Lomas.
Back row look to star again
The most capped player in the starting line-up, Connor Stapley, will win No. 128 alongside bulldozer Harry Stone in the engine room, with Ben Atkins, Mikey Duda and last week’s man-of-the-match, Zambian ace Willo Bicknell, completing the starting line-up.
Vastly experienced props Ant Marris and James Baker are set to reach 98 and 440 appearances respectively from the bench, with versatile Liam Elston – who played on the blind-side flank for the Development XV at Bristol University on Wednesday – the other forwards replacement.
Hodgson drops to the bench to cover No. 9, while Andrew Lamb, whose sublime set-up of Clow helped Rams get off the mark at Sedgley Park on the opening day, takes the final spot in the squad.
Four travelling reserves are named in the form of prop George Breese – a try-scorer at Bristol University and capable of covering either side of the scrum, Army captain and hooker Pete Austin, scrum-half Louis Pereira and former Scotland Under 20s fly-half/full-back Harris Rutherford.
