The Berkshire boys recorded a sixth consecutive top-half finish since arriving at Level Three back in 2019/20, though stumbled after a strong start.
A win-loss split of 13-13 saw Rams end with 75 points from their 26 matches, a tally including 17 try bonus-points.
The campaign featured several highs with a club-best National One 73-24 win against Dings Crusaders.
And Rams also topped 60 against both Leicester Lions and Sedgley Park in the final game of the season.
Lows included conceding 80 at champions Rotherham Titans and 60 to third-placed Plymouth Albion.
But Seb remained proud of his players, albeit admitting lessons must be learnt ahead of next term.
He explained: “It’s been tough, but the players have been fantastic with their consistency in training regardless of whether we’ve scored 70 or conceded 80!
“There’s a naivety to the side, which is still playing out, but it will come.
“We need to understand how to play controlled rugby – how to win field position and ultimately matches.
“At times it’s been too helter-skelter, but one of the things this year was to push the limits of what we were looking to do.”
He continued: “At times it’s worked tremendously well. We’d never scored 60 or 70 points at this level, and we’ve done it three times this season.
“There’s been some very good stuff, but also frustrating times.
“It’s the nature of a side in transition, and can be annoying, but you must fight through it and the players have started to do so.”
‘Championship the target’
Already excited for what 2026/27 may bring, Seb made clear he wants his side to be challenging at the top of the table.
He said: “We make no bones about it; we won’t hide the fact we want to get to The Championship.
“We’ve had a rebuild phase but we want to get up there because Old Bath Road is a special place and a fantastic one to play rugby.
“Youngsters like Ollie Hodgson and Morgan MacRae, they’ve got the shirt this year and the challenge now is to try and kick on.
“The guys who’ve been here a while now, Max (Hayman), Axel (Kalling-Smith), Zach (Clow), they’ve become senior players and will guide this young group forward hopefully with others who come in.
“It’s up to everyone to push in the off-season and come back ready to make us a better side.”
