A late rally was not enough as Rams started the month with a thrilling 35-31 home defeat to table-topping Rotherham Titans.
Lloyd Hayes converted a third-minute Travis Gordon score to put the visitors in front, only for Liam Elston to bag a brilliant solo try.
Mike Cooke levelled from the tee before Hayes landed a penalty, Rotherham’s John Okafor and Oli Rhoads then exchanging five-pointers.
Titans took control before the break, however, converted tries from Jackson Barling and Hayes putting them 29-12 ahead.
A second Hayes penalty extended the lead before Rams rallied, Harry Stone and Axel Kalling-Smith with seven-pointers for 32-26.
Rob Povey knocked over a penalty to give the Yorkshiremen breathing space, meaning Zach Clow’s late try was only enough to salvage a second bonus point.
Rosslyn Park rocked
However, the Berkshire men responded with a sensational 40-29 success at Rosslyn Park seven days later.
They fell 12-0 down to tries from Jack Digby and Luke Mehson, plus a Steffan James penalty.
But Paddy Harris crossed for the first time in his 57th Rams appearance, Cooke with the extras, before Rhoads levelled.
A converted Rowan Grundy effort nudged the visitors in front, only for Park to lead 24-19 at the interval.

Yet Rams regained the lead as Connor Stapley grabbed a sensational intercept score from his own half, Cooke on target.
And the fly-half repeated the trick after man-of-the-match Clow went over.
Rosslyn gave themselves a glimmer of hope as a George Orchard try made it a four-point game late on.
Rams, though, sealed the deal through Henry Bartlett and another fine Cooke kick.
Crusaders claim win
A disappointing end to 2025 saw Rams defeated 31-25 at Dings Crusaders.
Max Hayman mauled over for an early lead, but the hosts then ran riot with Evan Morris, Sam Cantwell, Harry Tarling and Jimmy Tarling all crossing.
Three Raff Weston conversions had Dings 26-5 up, but Rams cut the deficit through Ryan Lomas and Ellis Jones.
Hayman doubled up in the second half before Cantwell did the same, and despite Bartlett dotting down late on, his side could not complete the comeback.
