Rams began in style with Zach Clow’s last-minute try securing a dramatic 24-18 triumph at Sedgley Park.
The visitors fell 10-0 behind as Zane Ainslee touched down before Josh Ree converted and added a penalty.
But Rams grabbed a penalty try before Max Hayman dotted down, a Ree three-pointer in between making it 13-12 at the break.
The Berkshire boys hit the front when Axel Kalling-Smith crossed early in the second period, but Lewis Bradley restored the hosts’ one-point lead on 50 minutes.
It was Clow, though, who made the decisive impact, Mike Cooke adding the extras.
Record score in Dings demolition
A record-breaking win arrived seven days later as Rams trounced Dings Crusaders 73-24 at Old Bath Road.
Harry Rowson’s try put the visitors in front before Morgan MacRae and Ben Atkins replied, Cooke converting the latter.
But Jeff Young and Sam Worsley combined to level at 12-12.
Two Axel Kalling-Smith seven-pointers, however, gave Rams a solid half-time advantage.
And during a stunning six-minute purple patch soon after the break, they ran in four tries to kill the game.
Harry Stone, Charlie Robson, Clow and Hayman were the try-scorers with Cooke on target after all four for 54-12.
Jamie Elswood added to a Will Thompson effort to reduce the arrears, but MacRae doubled up before Willo Bicknell bagged his first for the club.
Dings secured a try bonus thanks to Sol Taufa, but the hosts had the final word as Louis Pereira went over in Clubhouse Corner.
Dogs bite at Heywood Road
Rams were brought back down to earth at a wildly wet Sale FC, the hosts triumphing 31-17.
Joe Green converted a Nathan Langdon maul score for The Dogs before Bicknell cut the gap.
An Evan Mintern seven-pointer was replied to by a Rams’ penalty try for 14-12 at the interval.
But the hosts pulled clear thanks to scores from Toby Wilson and Alfie Longstaff, along with seven points via Green’s boot.
MacRae grabbed a late consolation but it was too little, too late.
TJs toppled
The inside centre then opened the scoring in a 40-19 home success against Tonbridge Juddians.
Cooke added the extras before MacRae grabbed a second, Luke Graham extending the advantage with Cooke landing for 19-0.
TJs hit back before the break thanks to Nathan Earle and a Jack Park conversion.
Robson’s seven-pointer was replied to by a second Earle try, but a solo special from Kalling-Smith gave Rams some breathing space.
Andrew Lamb collected his first points of the campaign when landing after Graham’s second, before TJs snatched a third try from Tom Kendrick, Connor Lloyd converting.
