The Bristolians were edged out 27-24 at Leeds Tykes last Saturday, having also gone down narrowly against Sale FC the week before (24-17).

Secured a tremendous first National One win of the season at Sedgley Park in Round Four, toppling Tigers 41-30.

A tough start to the campaign saw defeats to three of the current top four – Rotherham Titans (40-15), Plymouth Albion (62-5) and Blackheath (34-17).

Players to Watch:

Brad Talbot – Marauding back row has proved a prolific try-scorer since joining Clifton ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

Has racked up an impressive 46 scores in 81 appearances, including a brace in the 41-30 Round Four victory at Sedgley Park this term – a display which saw him named National One Player of the Week.

Previously played at Weston-super-Mare and Bridgwater & Albion.

Harry Hone – Another immensely strong ball carrier, the No. 8 has played against Rams many times for Cinderford.

Having previously been at Birmingham Moseley while they were in The Championship, the back row spent the past two seasons at Dings Crusaders before moving across Bristol ahead of this season.

Two tries in six games so far this term – both coming at home against Blackheath and Sale FC.

Ollie Harris – Part of the Bristol Bears Academy since the age of 13, the full back/wing was captain of a strong Clifton College side last term.

On loan from Bristol, the speedster was involved with England Under 18s last season and scored his first senior try at Leeds Tykes last week.
