And despite James Stubbs and Arthur Allen crossing in the final 15 minutes, they were merely consolations for Lions.
Rotherham Titans are up to second following a gritty 17-11 triumph at Bishop’s Stortford.
A Mike Cooke penalty and Austin Pope score put the hosts in front before a penalty try for their opponents cut the gap to a single point at half-time.
Lloyd Hayes converted his own try and landed a three-pointer for 17-8, Stortford snatching a losing bonus-point as Cooke kicked a last-play penalty.
Half century for Park
Rosslyn Park eased to a 50-19 success at Dings Crusaders despite conceding a first-minute try to Max Rivers.
The Londoners hit back as Josh Bragman added to Conrad Cade’s score, only for Dings to regain the lead as Tom Gollop touched and James Elswood bisected the uprights.

However, Ewan Fenley, Will Glover and Benji Marfo all crossed to put Park 22-12 up at the break, Bragman on target after Tom Stanton dotted down to extend the advantage.
Crusaders cut the deficit via a converted Ezra Caven effort, but Rosslyn turned the screw as Bragman added to his own try and one from Rhys Charalambous, the half-century brought up at the death as Jasper Cameron went over and Steffan James slotted the extras.
Albion’s awesome run continues
Plymouth Albion recorded an eighth straight win after holding off a brave Sedgley Park comeback 38-35.
A Warren Seals penalty gave Sedge an early lead, but the hosts took control as Tom Putt converted tries from Angus Hodges, Bobby Wigginton and Morgan Stone (two).
Seals was on target after Ben Gregory crossed to make it 28-10 at the interval, but Putt maintained his perfect form after Israel Akinrowo finished Plymouth’s fifth.
Tigers struck back via Danny Rylance – a Putt penalty then making it 38-15 – and further late tries from Matt Law and Rhys Henderson, another 10 points from Seals’ boot completing the scoring.
Blackheath brilliant
A stunning Blackheath performance saw them blitz hosts Esher 64-22.

Morley kicked a penalty but found his side 31-10 down at the break, Andrew Boye, Jake Lloyd and Tom Everard all going over as Ffitch added three conversions and a penalty.

Billy Harding, Noah Sloot and Everard extended the lead, Ffitch with two more kicks before Myles Rawstron-Rudd touched down for Esher, Tom Walker converting.
Lloyd and Archie Holland continued Club’s dominance as Ffitch took his personal tally to 19 points, although Esher claimed a late consolation via James Botterill.

Garry Law added to Junior Newton’s effort for DMP, but Sale sealed the deal thanks to Mulchrone and Nick Gray, Robins and Will Davies doing the job from the tee.
