NATIONAL ONE ROUND-UP – WEEK 25

ROTHERHAM Titans moved to the brink of title glory with a 68-7 victory at Sedgley Park, a result which also relegated Tigers.

The hosts took the lead as Ollie Glasse converted a Beltus Nonleh try.

But the table-toppers replied ruthlessly with Lloyd Hayes, Jackson Barling, Isaac Shaw (two), JB Bruzulier, Rob Povey, James Norman, John Okafor, Sinjin Broad and Morgan Veness all touching down.

Hayes added nine conversions for a 23-point haul.

Club close on home play-off as Plymouth lose at Sale

Blackheath climbed to second with a 43-19 triumph at Leeds Tykes.

Sam Morley converted Jake Hennessey and Finn O’Sullivan tries to put Club in command, the hosts replying with a Ben Dixon effort.

A Billy Harding seven-pointer before the break extended Blackheath’s advantage, but their opponents replied as Ed Crossland converted Connor Walker’s score.

But Harding completed his hat-trick to make it 46 tries for the season including one in every game.

An Archie Bourne try made it 36-12 before Alex Pleasants went over for Leeds, Crossland on target.

Club had the last word, though, Noah Sloot over before Morley regained his range.

Plymouth Albion dropped to third after losing 29-26 at Sale FC.

Iwan Jenkins converted fellow Exeter loanee Zac Wimbush’s try to put the visitors in front, only for Sale to reply with Harry Davey, Tom Walsh and Nathan Langdon all on the scoresheet.

Bobby Wigginton went over before the break for Albion, who then took a grip on things at 26-15 after Jenkins landed following tries from Jack Oulton and Noah Fenton.

But The Dogs bit back, Joe Green on target twice after Mark Dixon’s double.

Key wins for Bristol clubs

Dings Crusaders all but secured Level Three status for 2026/27 with a 63-21 thumping of bottom side Leicester Lions.

Sam Worsley converted tries from Omar Ly, Tomos Gwilliam and Kofi Cripps to put the visitors 21-0 up before Lions got off the mark thanks to Brad McKenna and the boot of Joey Patrick.

But Crusaders added three more seven-pointers before the break as Harry Rowson and Joe Jenkins (two) touched down.

Gwilliam doubled up before George Boulton converted, McKenna and Patrick cutting the gap to 49-14.

Worsley came back on to make it eight kicks from eight after Rowson went over and Gwilliam completed his hat-trick.

And it meant Will Roberts’ late converted try was merely a consolation for Lions.

Jack Bennett’s late try helped Clifton leapfrog Birmingham Moseley out of the relegation zone following a dramatic 42-36 shoot-out.

Mose struck first as Austin Nevitt and Travis Bennett-Allcock crossed, Jack Jolly converting the second.

But Clifton were 21-12 up at half-time after Zak Hamid, Ollie Harris and Brad Talbot dotted down, Tom Quinlan with a trio of kicks.

Bennett-Alcock and Hamid exchanged seven-pointers after the interval, Jolly landing after Ben Pogson crossed to make it 28-26.

Mitchell Spencer and Quinlan extended the lead back to nine points, only for Jolly to slot a penalty before a Birmingham penalty try had them in front.

Bennett, though, had the last word with Quinlan adding the coup de grâce.

Victory leaves Clifton – who visit Blackheath in the final round – one point ahead of Birmingham.

Stortfod into top six after TJs triumph

The Midlanders host a Bishop’s Stortford side who moved up to sixth with a 37-24 home victory against Tonbridge Juddians.

Asa Stewart-Harris and Tom Mills tries gave Stortford an early lead, David Hayes adding to the latter.

Connor Lloyd crossed to get TJs on the board, but the hosts added 10 more points through a Seva Kava try and the boot of Hayes.

Former Ram Vinny Everitt touched down for Tonbridge before Lloyd added the extras, only for Kava to go over again.

A Tom Mannix seven-pointer reduced the half-time deficit to 27-19, Duncan Tout’s effort two minutes after the break further tightening things.

But Hayes kicked another penalty midway through the third quarter before converting Mills’ second to seal the deal.

Rams slipped below the Hertfordshire men following their 36-19 defeat to Rosslyn Park.
