NATIONAL LEAGUE RUGBY TRY OF THE MONTH FOR MAX

MAX Hayman’s sensational score against Dings Crusaders has been named National League Rugby’s Try of the Month for September.

The skipper produced some skill of the highest order to collect his own grubber kick before grounding the ball on the left following a sensational passage of continuity play to set-up the chance.

Mikey Duda made the initial break before the ball went from Ollie Hodgson to Hayman, Rams’ Player of the Month Morgan MacRae then making a phenomenal 60-metre burst from his own 22 to propel the attack.

While he was cut down short of what would have been an incredible individual try, it merely gave Max the chance to finish the job with his moment of magic.

The score, which has more a club-record more than 120,000 social media views, received 56.1 per cent of the vote for best score in Round Two, the highest majority across the 16 tries nominated across the opening four weeks of the NLR season.
