The visitors made a disastrous start as a penalty near halfway allowed their opponents to kick to the 22, a trademark Club maul initially repelled.
However, just a couple of phases later the country’s top try-scorer, hooker Billy Harding, showed his nose for the line by craving under the posts.
Sam Morley made no mistake with a simple conversion for 7-0, but the remainder of the opening quarter was an even affair.
Both sides made limited forays into each other’s red zone, but it was the Londoners clinicality which came to the fore as Harding doubled his tally.
On this occasion a short throw from a five-metre line-out was stopped short, but the talismanic skipper burrowed over from close range for his 37th score of the campaign.
Morley slid his kick through off the right-hand upright for 14-0, with no clear-cut chances coming before the break.

Club extend lead early in second half
Rams again started the second half slowly and left themselves a mountain to climb as they shipped a third score to Noah Sloot.
The visitors again bravely defended their line, but a smart short-sided ball put the flanker over in the right-hand corner before Morley made it three from three off the tee.
The Berkshire men were handed something of a lifeline when Club were reduced to 14 men, centre Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas sent off for an off-the-ball incident at the start of the final quarter.
And the hosts were then down to 13 after Jake Hennessey was sin-binned for a breakdown infringement.
Rams continued to battle against a brutal home defence, and they finally got on the scoresheet with a couple of minutes to play, Harry Stone with his fifth try of the campaign.
Mike Cooke’s conversion attempt missed to the left, but his side continued to chase further proximity as their fitness came to the fore late on.
Yet their error count proved costly throughout the game, and it was somewhat fitting a knock-on preceded the final whistle.
Defeat leaves Rams sixth in the table ahead of a home game against Bishop’s Stortford next Saturday (3pm).
