Recent Form:

Tigers, who retained the bulk of their squad from last season, have put in two fine performances in recent weeks, firstly beating National Two North outfit Preston Grasshoppers 47-7, backing it up with a 45-7 victory against Macclesfield in their other warm-up fixture.

Players to Watch:

Beltus Nonleh – The Cameroonian prop’s impressive displays for Sedgley between 2021-23 earned the powerhouse a move to Northampton Saints, where he went onto play for the reigning Premiership champions.

Prior to rejoining Tigers this summer, he also enjoyed plenty of Championship experience on loan at Leicester Lions, Cambridge, Nottingham and Bedford Blues.

Rhys Henderson – The prolific try-scorer was top of the charts in National One with 21 in 24 appearances, taking his overall record for Tigers to 73 tries in 93 games.

Named in both the NLR and Rugby Paper Teams of the Season last term.

Josh Ree – Classy full-back who showed his prowess in National One with firstly Leeds Tykes and then Darlington Mowden Park, the New Zealander – who came through the Crusaders Academy – switched to Preston Grasshoppers midway through last term before arriving at Park Lane in the summer.

Also capable of playing at fly-half.
