The former Wallingford man, who has gone onto record 95 first-team caps at Old Bath Road, is named on the bench in a notable step forward in his return to National One action.
The starting line-up is led by captain and hooker Max Hayman, ever-present prop from last term Paddy Harris starting at loose-head with debutant try-scorer from Saturday George Breese on the other side of the scrum.
Connor Stapley and Harry Stone start behind the trio, with Aaron Tull, Mikey Duda and Willo Bicknell – who pilfered a stunning upright rip against Aberavon last week – making up the back row.
Starting half-backs remain unchanged
Half-backs Sam Boxhall and Mike Cooke struck up a nice relationship in putting the hosts 24-0 up against the Wizards and are paired together again, the Welsh duo of Morgan MacRae and Ellis Jones in midfield aiming to build on some strong running when they had ball in hand last time out.
Sweden captain Axel Kalling-Smith and Berkshire boy Oli Rhoads go on the wings, with last year’s top try-scorer Zach Clow, who got off the mark with the fourth against Aberavon, starting at full-back for the trip to Veritas Park.
Trio of props ready for action
Marris leads a trio of prop options off the bench alongside Ryan Lomas and Swansea University alumni Max Marshall, Liam Elston back from Australia and again aiming to prove his credentials in the engine room after a few nice touches versus Aberavon.
Patrick Jackson is another second row option off the bench, with summer signings Will Moss and South African debutant hooker Andries Skein completing the forward replacements.
Youthful scrum-halves Louis Pereira and Ollie Hodgson are joined by former Scottish Under 20s stand-off Harris Rutherford and lively ebullient wing Sam Bowen in covering the remainder of the back line in a side which is subject to change.
