TEAM NEWS: FRASER HITS HALF CENTURY AS RAMS VISIT RICHMOND

FRASER Honey will make his 50th consecutive start as half-back partner Jake Murray returns to the Rams’ starting line-up for this evening’s National One trip to table-topping Richmond (7.45pm).

Cornishman Honey has proved a cornerstone of the side since joining in the summer of 2023, not missing a single match, while Harlequins loanee Murray is back in action having been involved in his parent club’s Premiership game at Saracens a fortnight ago.

Murray mint for start

Rams make just two changes to the starting line-up which beat Rotherham Titans 30-19 last time out, Murray in for Ollie Hodgson and Paddy Harris replacing Scott Kirk at loose-head.

Captain Max Hayman and the indomitable James Baker – a shoe-in for National One tight-head of the year yet again – complete the front row, with Nile Dacres and the inspirational Robbie Stapley again combining in the engine room.

Dynamic youngster Harry Stone, Ben Atkins and James McRae complete the pack following an all-action effort against Titans.

Outside of the half-backs, Rams remain unchanged as Joe Pannese and Army man Solodrau Radianirova link up in midfield, Jack Rampton – outstanding against Rotherham – and Sweden captain Axel Kalling-Smith on the wings and the side’s top try-scorer Zach Clow finalising the team at full-back.

Emanuel back on the bench

Bath prop Ioan Emanuel returns from Wales Under 20s duty to take a spot on the bench, Ryan Lomas also adding power from the front row as Dan Swain overcomes injury to ready himself at the Athletic Ground.

A fourth forward is named on the bench in the form of try-scorer from the earlier fixture between the sides, Mikey Duda, while Ollie Hodgson – a try-scorer in the past two games – covers the back-line.

Five travelling reserves are named with Morgan MacRae, Tom Vooght, Andrew Lamb, Tomek Pozniak and Nat Arnold ready to enter the fray under the lights.
