Recent Form:

Moseley ended a poor start to the calendar year as they won 28-20 at Sedgley Park last weekend, snapping a three-match losing run against Esher (31-24), Plymouth Albion (33-32) and Blackheath (51-26).

Amidst a trio of abandoned/postponed games at the back of 2024, Birmingham beat Leicester Lions (27-10), Darlington Mowden Park (24-7) and Rosslyn Park (27-26) following a 42-14 reverse under the Friday Night Lights at Richmond.

The Midlanders had previously gone down 30-19 and 24-7 to fellow top-three teams Rotherham Titans and Rams, a three-match losing run coming after a 28-26 home success against Sedgley.

Moseley lost 35-15 at Plymouth in Week Five, but started the campaign in red-hot fashion with four wins from four – Blackheath (35-13), Bishop’s Stortford (28-14), Leicester (21-7) and Dings Crusaders (40-20) their victims.

Players to Watch:

Ben Pogson – Ex-Ampthill hooker has done well since joining making his debut at the end of September, an ever-present with four tries in 13 appearances to sit just one behind Moseley’s leading trio of Morgan Adderley-Jones, Aquile Smith and Dan Brough.

Morgan Dawes – Dynamic back-row joined the Billesley Boys from fellow Midlanders Broadstreet ahead of the 2019/20 season, a series of eye-catching displays resulting in five tries in 22 games and a post-Covid move to Championship rugby at London Scottish.

Following two injury-hit seasons Dawes has returned in fine fettle with four scores in 11 outings this term.

Dan Brough – Ex-Cambridge back-three ace joined the Birmingham ahead of the 2023/24 season, bagging a debut brace in a 50-36 reverse at Rams.

A livewire out wide, he has gone onto take his tally to 10 in 35 in the past campaign-and-a-half.
