TEAM NEWS: DARREN DEBUTS AT DINGS

DARREN Atkins is set for his Rams’ National One debut as one of three changes for tomorrow’s trip to Dings Crusaders (3pm).

The former Bath man, who scored a stunning pre-season try against Clifton, slots in at full-back.

Another debutant, recent Loughborough University graduate Matt Wickham, takes the scrum-half jersey for the trip to Shaftesbury Park.

The remainder of the back line, meanwhile, is unchanged in personnel from the opening-day defeat to Sale FC.

This means Irishman Ross McKay, who struck some huge kicks to touch last time out, is at No. 10.

Ellis Jones and Matt Blee team up in midfield, with Zach Clow – the first to cross the whitewash for Rams this term – on the right wing.

He swaps flank with Canadian Henry Kirwan, a try-scorer against Brunel University under the Old Bath Road floodlights on Wednesday.

The one swap in the pack comes in the second row, where Ollie Stirling joins fellow Clifton summer signing Shay Sainsbury.

The Harrow School alumni made a big impression off the bench last week and now goes from the off.

A further Bristol flavour and back at his former loan club, last season’s Tackling Trophy winner Aaron Tull is on the blind-side flank.

Man-of-the-match against Sale, Johnny Ireland, is on the other side of the scrum.

Rampaging captain and No. 8 Willo Bicknell completes the back row.

Up front Army man Pete Austin is sandwiched by loose-head prop Ant Marris and last week’s debutant try-scorer, Sam Stirling.

Saayman, Garfield take seasonal debutants to 13

Two more players are in line for first league appearances for Rams from the bench.

Second row Liam Saayman recently arrived from Australia and is a powerful presence who can also play at blind-side.

Max Marshall, meanwhile, is also back from spending six months Down Under.

The former Swansea University man scored on his first start in Rams’ final game of last season.

He is joined by the same combination of replacement props as last week, James Baker and JJ Wozniak.

Finally, 18-year-old scrum-half Arthur Garfield gets the nod following an outstanding display for the Development XV against Brunel University on Wednesday night.

Harry Bicknell, Will Saunders and Theo Pett-Ridge are the travelling reserves.
