TOP TRY SCORERS AT THE END OF DECEMBER

Rich Ashton30 Dec 2022 - 16:15

Jak extends lead with 22 players combining for 71 five-pointers!

JAK Rossiter’s try against Sale has extended his lead at the top of RAMS’ top try-scorers list to four going into 2023, while Ben Henderson opened his account for the season in the same game as he grabbed his 50th for the club.

Jak’s outstanding season now sees him with 13 tries in 12 National One games – having also touched down twice for the Titans on the opening day of the season – while Max Hayman remains the second most prolific so far having crossed the whitewash nine times.

James McRae and Charlie Robson have five apiece, while Henry Bird – who snared the final try at Cinderford – and Ant Marris, who bagged a brace against Sale, are now both up to four.

The other try-scorers in December – when only two games were played – were Ollie Moffitt, who picked up his second of the campaign in the Forest of Dean, and Will Partington, who collected his first for the club in the same fixture.

It leaves Moff level on two tries with Josh Collis, Michael Dykes, Vince Everitt and Alex Seers, while James Baker, Ross Crame, Hendo, Robbie Stapley and Ollie Taylor have matched Will’s efforts in crossing the whitewash once.

Ollie Cole, Connor Hayhow – who scored a hat-trick against Darlington Mowden Park – Drew Humberstone, Ellis Jones and Axel Kalling-Smith all have three tries to their name so far.

In total RAMS have scored 71 tries in 13 games at an average of almost 5.5 per game, earning a bonus-point in every outing aside from the trip to Cinderford.

Rosslyn Park – with 74 five-pointers in 14 matches – are the only side to have crossed more than RAMS.
