Terrific wins against Cleve, Clifton, Redruth, Bury St Edmunds and more!

TAKE a stroll down memory lane as we look back at the best historical games on each day of the week to come!

March 28 – Cleve 23-39 Rams (2009)

Spike Chandler contributed 24 points to Rams win at Cleve in South West One.

The fly-half’s tally included a try, three penalties, two drop goals and two conversions.

Chandler’s boot had helped his side to a 21-11 interval lead, and then despite a hamstring injury, he raced 50 yards for a touchdown.

Other men on the try sheet were James Lack, Seb Reynolds and Robbie Stapley.

March 29 – Rams 16-6 Oxford Marathon (1958)

The hosts eased to a 16-6 win after taking a 13-3 half-time advantage.

Colin Evans crossed twice, Waters converted one while Norman Wiseman dropped a goal.

The Oxford side’s defence improved after the break, but they could not prevent a John Gardiner try set-up by Saunders and Wiseman.

March 30 – Rams 28-10 Redruth (2019)

Tries from Miles Lloyd, Niall Kidd, Jamie Guttridge and Jak Rossiter – with a sensational length-of-the-field effort – added to by four Alex Seers conversions, gave Rams a bonus-point home success.

Although they had a man sent off, Bournemouth regained the lead before Chandler had the final say.
