RAMS Under 23s have named a 24-man squad for their trip to Brunel University as the two clubs lock horns for a second consecutive Wednesday night clash tonight (7.15pm).
The two clubs drew 24-24 at Old Bath Road as the Development XV played out a thriller seven days ago.
And another cracker is on the cards this evening.
Hooker Harry Bicknell has played National One already this term and leads the charge at Kingston Lane.
He is joined by Will Spain, Andrich Skein and former OBB Division One Colts winner Jake Scott in the front row.
Paddy Jackson leads the locks having also featured on the opening day against Sale FC.
Ex-London Irish Academy ace Ollie Agar and Will Saunders are other lofty options in the engine room.
The latter scored twice in the U23s previous outing at Oxford Harlequins.
A plethora of back-row options
He started at blind-side flanker last week, where Reading University and Berkshire Under 20s man Jacob Kyte is another option.
Last year’s Colt Henry Cook is also in the squad.
Aaron Preston captained Rams to back-to-back Colts titles and a National Cup semi-final as an open-side.
Dynamic Will Parsons has also caught the eye at No. 7 in the early stages of the campaign.
Abingdon School alumni George Bottomley and ex-Bath Under 18 Darren Bold are two strong ball-carrying No. 8s ready to put the visitors on the front foot.
Plenty of pace out wide
Rams include a trio of scrum-halves in the form of Jack Mapletoft, Ollie Morgan and last year’s Colts captain Elliot Jones.
Former Mini turned first-teamer Theo Pett-Ridge can play fly-half or anywhere along the back line.
Powerhouse Isaac Tokura has looked strong at inside centre in recent weeks, with former Colts Paddy Brown and Luke Thorpe other midfield options.
And there is pace aplenty among the back three with Finlay Wells, David Ajisafe, Josh Gouws and Alec Formela completing the squad.
