TEAM NEWS: RAMS NAME 20 FOR UNDER 23s ARMY SHOWDOWN

HARRY Bicknell leads a 20-man squad as Rams Under 23s’ host their British Army counterparts tonight (7.30pm).

The hooker grabbed his second hat-trick of the season in last Thursday’s 43-7 home win versus Oxford University Greyhounds.

He is joined in the front row by two more players with National One experience this term, props Max Marshall and JJ Wozniak.

Ollie Agar and Bath University fresher George Bottomley are in the engine room.

The back row remains unchanged from last week, meaning former two-time OBB Division One title-winning Colts captain Aaron Preston is on the blind-side.

The most-capped first-team player, Mikey Duda is on the other side of the scrum.

And Darren Bold completes the pack after a fine, try-scoring display against Oxford.

Jack Mapletoft is scrum-half with Gethin Svensen-Davies – who impressed after coming on early versus Greyhounds – outside him.

There is a debut for teenage trialist Joe Clark at inside centre, while Gus Stapleton joins him in midfield.

Another first-time starter, Saxon Hawkins, and Jone Frederick are the wings.

Ex-Mini Theo Pett-Ridge completes the starting line-up at full back.

Andrich Skein and Jake Scott are the replacement front-row options, while whirling dervish Will Parsons has been catching the eye at open-side.

Berkshire Under 20s man Liam Thomas is also included along with last year’s Colts’ Clubman champion Elliot Jones.

Entry for tonight’s game is free, with food and drink on sale.
