RAMS have named a 22-man squad for tomorrow night’s Development XV home game with Cambridge University (7.45pm).
Four-time Oxford Blue Tom Humberstone skippers the side from fly-half, teenager Ollie Hodgson inside him following three substitute appearances for the first team.
The centres comprise summer signing from Loughborough University, Joe Pannese, and recent recruit Oli Rhoads, the powerful youngster who has switched from neighbours Newbury.
Jamaica 7s speedster Jack Rampton is on the right wing, former Reading University man Alex Mannhardt on the other flank with Andrew Lamb completing the three-quarters at full-back.
Up front the two props are Terrel Harry and Nick Barry, the pair having been on loan at Old Albanians and Camberley in recent weeks, while Brad Clements returns from concussion protocols to sandwich the duo.
Another ex-Reading Uni alumni, Liam Elston, is partnered in the engine room by Jack Williams, with Jedd Paine – who has been spending time with Oxford Harlequins – joined at flanker by whirling dervish Mikey Duda.
The pack is completed by Morgan MacRae, the ex-Oratory School student at No. 8 following a fine start to his career at Rams which has seen him grab four tries in six National One substitute appearances.
On the bench, prop cover is supplied by Australian Brad Killick and another with first-team experience this term, Liam Bishop, former London Irish Academy Harry Bicknell ready to step in at hooker.
Former Colt Jack Rushton has been impressing for the Centaurs, whose coach Jack Gaylor leads the backs’ replacements and can cover scrum-half, No. 10 or full-back.
Another ex-Colt, Theo Pett-Ridge is equally versatile, with the squad completed by Nat Arnold.
The two sides faced off for the first time last season, Cambridge winning a thriller 30-24 at Grange Road.
Entry is free with bars open from 6.30pm.
