LEGENDARY James Baker will make his first start of the season as one of four changes for tomorrow’s National One home encounter with Tonbridge Juddians (3pm).

The tight-head prop, who will win cap 441 of a storied career, missed the opening game at Sedgley Park with a minor calf niggle before coming off the bench in the past two weeks.

And he will now go from the off in a front row also featuring skipper Max Hayman and Paddy Harris, the ever-present loose-head from last season.

Connor Stapley and Harry Stone are once again paired together in the engine room, while there is a debut on the blind-side flank for Bath loanee Tom Cowan following his Premiership Cup try-scoring effort against Exeter Chiefs last weekend.

Destructive Mikey Duda retains his place on the open-side, and with Willo Bicknell away for the weekend following another fine display in defeat at Sale FC, another in contention for man-of-the-match at Heywood Road, Ben Atkins, switches to No. 8.

Pereira earns maiden start, Graham returns

In the backs, former Cardiff Met University graduate Louis Pereira stole the show in the Development XV’s victory at Bristol University last week and now gets the chance to strut his stuff from the start in the No. 9 jersey.

Mike Cooke will start outside him alongside the unchanged centre partnership of dual top-scorers Morgan MacRae and Axel Kalling-Smith, both with three tries to date this term.

The final change for tomorrow comes in the back three where summer signing Luke Graham slots in on the right wing, Charlie Robson remaining in situ on the left as Zach Clow reverts to full-back.

Speedy Spandler back for second loan spell

The versatile Andrew Lamb – capable of playing all across the three-quarters – therefore drops into the replacements with Royal Air Force man Sam Boxhall ready to make an impact at scrum-half.

Props Ant Marris, in line for his 99^th appearance, and George Breese are also included alongside Jasper Spandler, the Bath hooker back for a second loan spell at Old Bath Road.

Five travelling reserves are named in the form of Ryan Lomas, Liam Elston, Aaron Tull, Oli Rhoads and Ollie Hodgson.
