TEAM NEWS: ATKINS AT THE HELM IN ONE STARTING CHANGE

BEN Atkins skippers Rams as the one alteration for tomorrow’s National One trip to Birmingham Moseley (3.30pm).

Seb Reynolds’ men recorded their first win of the season against Rosslyn Park last Saturday, and the DoR shows faith in his troops.

Atkins takes the armband and starts at No. 8 in place of the unavailable Willo Bicknell.

He is joined in the back row by Player of the Week Mikey Duda and blind-side flanker Liam Saayman.

Hooker Max Marshall has two tries in as many games and is sandwiched in the front row by Paddy Harris and the incomparable James Baker.

Last week’s debutant Ryan Cozens and Ollie Stirling are in the engine room.

Unchanged back line look to unleash

Matt Wickham and Ross McKay are the half-backs for a fourth straight game, the latter currently the leading points-scorer with 21.

September’s star man Ellis Jones and Army ace Matt Blee are again paired in midfield.

And the back three also stays the same with Sweden’s record try-scorer Axel Kalling-Smith on the left wing.

He is one of five Rams’ with two tries so far this term.

Oli Sedgwick crossed the whitewash in his first start against Park, with Mike Cooke completing the line-up.

There are changes on the bench, however, other than JJ Wozniak as a prop.

Lomas back among four bench changes

Birmingham/England – 1 31 2026 : Birmingham Moseley V Rams at Billesley Common

Elsewhere reigning Coaches’ Player of the Year Ryan Lomas is fit-again to take a spot as extra front-row cover.

Bath loanee and ex-Wales Under 18s man Alex Ridgway is set for a debut further back in the pack.

In the backs, Ed Hoadley returns as scrum-half cover while Darren Atkins has overcome a hip niggle.

The former Bath man can make an impact at either full back or fly-half.

Four travelling reserves are named, starting with hooker Pete Austin.

Johnny Ireland is the other forwards option, while young scrum-half Arthur Garfield heads to Billesley Common.

Former Mini-turned-first-teamer Theo Pett-Ridge rounds out the travelling party capable of playing anywhere in the three-quarters.
