TEAM NEWS: 100 UP FOR AXEL

RAMS make one change to their side for the trip to Tonbridge Juddians as Axel Kalling-Smith wins his 100th cap.

The Swedish superstar has been a revelation since arriving in 2021 and seeks to add to his 48 National One tries.

He is part of an unchanged back line which sees Zach Clow on the left wing and Darren Atkins in the No. 15 jersey.

Clow is joint top try-scorer with Kalling-Smith on four this term.

Ellis Jones and Matt Blee remain in midfield as they complete an opening seven games as starters.

And half-backs scrum-half Matt Wickham and Ross McKay are paired for the sixth straight fixture.

The sole change to the starting line-up sees Alex Ridgway replace Ben Atkins at blind-side flanker.

The Bath loanee has been on the bench for the past two games but goes from the off at The Slade.

Mikey Duda and captain Willo Bicknell – a try-scorer in victory against Bury St Edmunds last week – complete the back row.

Up front Pete Austin is sandwiched by Paddy Harris and tight-head prop Ryan Lomas.

Ryan Cozens and Liam Saayman round out the starting line up in the engine room.

Among the replacements, prop cover is provided by the evergreen Ant Marris and young tyro Sam Stirling.

Atkins is the other forwards option, capable of throwing into the line-out if needed.

Army scrum-half Mikey McDonald made a bright cameo debut last time out, and retains his place.

And former Mini, Theo Pett-Ridge, is versatile enough to cover the remainder of the three-quarters.

Four travelling reserves are named, Max Marshall capable of playing loose-head or hooker.

Record-breaker James Baker also heads to The Slade along with the returning Dan Swain.

The 2024/25 Players’ Player of the Season is building up speed following his return from Australia.

And the final player heading to Kent is young scrum-half Arthur Garfield, with Rams looking for a second straight success.
