SECOND row supremo Dan Swain is the first Rams’ player to be selected in the National League Rugby Team of the Season.

Christened the ‘hardest man in England’ by Podcast host Paddy Conlon, Dan has made a major impact since joining the club at the start of the season.

Formerly with Plymouth Albion and Taunton Titans, the tireless enforcer was a virtual ever-present, playing 23 out of the 26 National One games and only disrupted by two weeks out to fulfil concussion protocols and another game where hand injury saw him rested.

Aside from that Dan was a magnificent performer throughout the campaign, getting on the scoresheet during a man-of-the-match display in the home game against Bishop’s Stortford back in January.
