While their was disappointment on the pitch in a 34-25 setback, supporters off the field were incredibly generous with a superb amount drummed up through a couple of raffles, one at lunch and one after the game.
Founder of New Life Special Babies, Trevor Goodall, said: “Apart from the result we had a fabulous day and were made to feel so welcome.
“I’d like to thank everyone who put their hands in their pockets to raise such a wonderful amount, we are so grateful.”
