Recent Form: Strong – Titans have four wins from their last six games.

Last time out they sealed an impressive 35-26 triumph at home to Darlington Mowden Park, while the previous defeat to Bishop’s Stortford can be partially explained by a first-half red card for prop Will Vaughan.

The loss came on the back of a stunning 73-18 hammering of Hull and a 50-28 triumph at Chinnor, while Taunton also picked up two points in a narrow 38-36 reverse at a Cinderford side then unbeaten at home.

A 27-18 home triumph came on the back of a gutsy 19-14 setback at home to Sale and a more comprehensive 36-8 defeat to Cambridge to kick off the year.

Taunton lost 26-14 at Plymouth Albion in their pre-Christmas derby, a sixth consecutive reverse of differing margins after they went down to Birmingham Moseley (26-21), Rams (27-24), Rosslyn Park (52-0), DMP (40-13) and Stortford (31-24).

Prior to that Titans had won 36-28 at Hull, a result which followed a 31-21 loss to Chinnor and a 29-21 success at Esher.

The Somerset men were victorious 28-24 at Leeds Tykes on the opening day, but then lost four in a row to Plymouth (33-26), Cambridge (39-14), Sale (31-24) and Cinderford (23-12).

Players to Watch:

Isaac Dalton – The tight-head prop has become something of a cult hero in racking up more than 125 games for Taunton since joining from Exmouth at the start of the 2017/18 campaign.

Bagged a brace against Rams at Veritas Park earlier in the season when a raucous Veritas Park crowd were singing his song.

Was in the National Two South Team of the Season when Titans were promoted having won the Covid-shortened 2019/20 league scoring 15 tries during a prolific six months.

Sam Knott – Second row has been an inspired signing, scoring five times in 21 appearances including one against Rams in the previous encounter.

Had previous National League experience with Luctonians and Bournemouth before stepping up from Puddletown last summer.

George Worboys – Taunton’s impressive recent run has coincided with the Bath loanee and former England Under 18s star really finding his feet at fly-half.

In just nine games he has become Titans’ top points-scorer with 91, a tally including a staggering 28 against Hull at the end of last month, and three tries.
