Recent Form: Back to their title-competing best.

Having finished second and third in absorbing promotion battles the two seasons before, Sale endured a disappointing 2023/24 campaign – albeit despite doing another double over Rams – but have hit the ground running this year.

A first pre-season hammering of Macclesfield (75-5) was followed by a 19-14 success at Edinburgh Academicals, a hard-fought 19-17 reverse against Championship rivals Caldy another statement of intent.

With a plethora of summer signings Sale then took the impressive scalp of Plymouth Albion 28-24 away on the opening day, then claiming derby glory 24-18 against Sedgley Park last time out.

Players to Watch:

Pete Vickers – Powerful second row joined in the summer having captained Swansea University in the BUCS Championship, while also representing Wales Under 18s as well as Wasps and Ospreys Academies.

Corbin Thunder – South African-born flanker who was part of the Wasps Academy has since switched Durban for Manchester this summer, crossing the whitewash in their win at Plymouth on the opening day.

Abrasive back row who lives by the motto ‘If you gonna sit at the table, you better bring something to eat.’

Osain Roberts – Teenage centre is on loan from Sale Sharks and bagged a brace against Sedgley Park last time out.

Played for Wales Under 18s in the 2023 Six Nations.
