Recent Form:

Tough.

Lions have been scoring plenty of points, but a 14th defeat in a row to Bishop’s Stortford (59-35) means their time at National One will end next month.

Prior to their latest loss, Leicester went down to Clifton (54-40, away), Leeds Tykes (33-29, home), Sale FC (52-24, a), Sedgley Park (24-14, h), Rotherham Titans (73-24, a), Plymouth Albion (47-17, h) and Blackheath (52-19, a) in 2026.

Previous setbacks came against Birmingham Moseley (28-19, h), Dings Crusaders (41-24, a), Rosslyn Park (26-13, h), Rams (38-24, h), Stortford (48-29, a) and Clifton (29-26, h).

Leicester ended October in superb style by beating Leeds 24-19 on the road after toppling Sale 35-31 at Westleigh Park.

This ended a difficult start to the season which featured six straight defeats.

In reverse order from the opening day, these registered Sedgley (52-29, a), Rotherham (41-25, h), Plymouth (45-22, a), Blackheath (47-12, h), Moseley (49-21, a) and Tonbridge Juddians (46-14, h).

Bronson Mellowes – Versatile on-loan Leicester Tiger is Lions’ leading try-scorer, having dotted down eight times in 17 outings.

One of those came against Rams back in November.

Capable of playing in the front or back row, the Nottingham Trent University student made two Premiership Cup appearances last season.

Luke Bouchier – Top point-scorer has racked up 128 on the back of five tries, 41 conversions and seven penalties this season.

Possessing a thumping boot, the fly-half has played for England Counties Under 18s and U20s.
