Recent Form: Moseley have started the season strongly and pulled off a fabulous comeback victory against Sedgley Park last time out.

Despite trailing 23-7 the Midlanders turned things round to win 28-26, finishing the game with 14 men following Ollie Allsopp’s dismissal.

Their only defeat came the week before, although the absence of several key players could be an explanation for the 35-15 reverse at Plymouth Albion.

Birmingham previously produced an eye-catching 35-13 home success against Blackheath, a 28-14 triumph against Bishop’s Stortford at Billesley Common and a 21-7 victory at Leicester Lions.

On the opening day they defeated visitors Dings Crusaders 40-20.

Players to Watch:

Adam Peters – Signed in the summer following a year in France with RC Hyeres Carqueiranne La Crau, the versatile back row previously spent five years with Coventry, including a spell as captain, and was formerly with Rotherham Titans and Richmond.

Has enjoyed a 100 per cent start to life at Mose, absent for their only defeat at Plymouth Albion.

Jack Jolly – Returned to the club for a second stint at the start of last season, closing on 50 caps.

Scrum-half has started five of Birmingham’s six games this term, slotting 13 conversions and a penalty, on the back of 53 points in 22 matches during the last campaign (one try, 12 conversions, eight penalties).

The No. 9 first joined Moseley following the demise of Birmingham & Solihull, featuring 16 times before a spell with Broadstreet.

Aquile Smith – As with Peters, the Jamaican wing is undefeated this term and has continued his terrific form with five tries in as many games.

Crossed the whitewash against Rams in the final game of last season, giving him a total of 16 in 23 outings and a place in the league website’s Team of the Season.

Overall, the livewire has 42 scores in 89 Moseley appearances.
