Having endured an injury-marred debut campaign at OBR last term, Ollie started the season as fourth-choice scrum-half and still a teenager, but the former Maidenhead junior was thrust into a first-team debut in Round Four at Dings Crusaders.
Further substitute appearances followed before Christmas against Leicester Lions, Bishop’s Stortford, Birmingham Moseley, Sedgley Park and Blackheath, while Ollie was beginning to catch the eye during impressive Development XV performances against Cardiff University, Cambridge Uni – in which he scored – Army Under 23s and Richmond Vikings.
The ex-Berkshire youth ace took his cap tally to seven in the home win versus Dings, then an unused sub at Sale.
Try time
Following another cameo at home to Stortford, Ollie was handed a maiden first-team start in muddy Birmingham, and having not made it off the bench at Sedgley, he grabbed his first try during a vibrant display from the off at Blackheath.
He doubled his tally at home to Rotherham Titans the week after, making it it three on the spin as a replacement at Richmond.

And restored to the starting line-up for the final two games, Ollie played the full 80 minutes against Rosslyn Park and Darlington Mowden Park.
*Congratulations Hodgy on a wonderful effort!
