The 22-year-old, who stands 6ft 1in and wighs 125kg, has competed in both BUCS Super Rugby and the Welsh Premiership during his time studying.
Equally adept at loose or tight-head, the front row made quick work after starting late to the sport.
JJ only started playing aged 12 at St Bernadette’s RFC in Bristol.
But attending Beechen Cliff AASE, he was part of the Bath Rugby programme less than a year later.
And having completed his undergraduate course and now a Masters in Sports Coaching, he is hoping to make a sizable impact at Old Bath Road.
