PLYMOUTH Albion made it five consecutive wins with a dominant 36-10 home triumph against Sale FC.
A stunning opening salvo from the Devonians saw them leading 29-0 at half-time, Angus Hodges with a brace as Jesse Lowe, Pita Ratukadreu and Sam Daly touched down and Phil Jones added two conversions.
Tom Brady got the Dogs on the board before Jones added the extras to his own try at the start of the final quarter, Sale’s Fergus Mulchrone crossing for a late consolation.
Blackheath returned to winning ways and climbed to third with a rampant 52-12 victory against visitors Cinderford.
Tom Ffitch converted tries from Billy Harding and Jake Hennessey before adding two penalties for 20-0 after half-an-hour.
Jack Daly went over before the break and man-of-the-match Matt Armstrong wrapped up the bonus-point five minutes into the second half.
Ffitch converted the latter for 32-0, but Sam Baker went over for Cindy before a penalty try further cut the gap.
However, Club regained control, Ffitch with a penalty before Archie Holland went over, the kicker again on target.
And two late Chris Bell tries took the home side past their half-century.
Chinnor’s fine form continued with a first-ever National One win at Rosslyn Park, the away side taking the spoils 48-21.
Nick Easter’s charges raced into a 19-0 lead inside the opening 20 minutes as Kieran Goss, Will Feeney and Luke Carter going over and James Bourton landing two kicks.
Tom Wilstead converted a Charlie Piper try for Park, but Chinnor sealed the bonus-point and a 26-7 half-time lead as Bourton was again successful after Feeney’s second.
Wing Benji Marfo went over at the back of a 13-man maul for the hosts, Wilstead on target before a Bourton penalty made it 29-14 to Chinnor.
And they moved further in front as Josh McNulty and George Stokes dotted down, debutant Rory Taylor converting both before Sunni Jardine grabbed a seven-point interception for Rosslyn.
Yet it was Chinnor who had the final word, Carter doubling his tally with three minutes to play.
Sedgley Park picked up a fourth win of the season with an entertaining 32-28 home triumph against Taunton Titans – the away team collecting two points for the second week in a row.
A seventh try of the season for Noah Fenton, added to by Louie Sinclair, gave Titans a second-minute lead only for Sedge to level through Oscar Crowe and Warren Seals.
Further home five-pointers from Alex Wills and Rhys Henderson made it 17-7 at half-time, but Taunton hit back after the break when Sinclair added to Toby Clinch’s try.
However, Park then pulled clear, Seals with a penalty and Danny Maher a try for 25-14 before Jordan Petherbridge and Sinclair gave Titans hope.
But Maher’s second, added to by Ollie Glasse, made the game safe before Taunton earned two important match points through a converted Charlie Wright effort.
Darlington Mowden Park produced the shock of the day with a stunning 34-24 win at Richmond.
The northerners racked up a 26-0 lead inside 30 minutes as Will Jones, Ollie Hodgson, Callum Mackenzie and Charlie Smith touched down, Josh Ree with three conversions.
A Toby Saysell try got Mond on the board just before the break, and Alex Burrage added the extras to an Ntinga Mpiko effort to reduce the deficit to 26-12.
Ree kicked a penalty but the hosts gave themselves further hope as Burrage converted Jake Caddy’s score to trim the margin to eight.
However, a Harry Yates score made the game safe for DMP, Caddy’s late consolation at least giving the Londoners a try bonus.
Birmingham Moseley ground out a 25-18 Midlands derby win at home to Leicester Lions.
Elliott Creed’s early score put the hosts in front before Dan Lewis kicked a penalty for Lions, Leicester then moving in front when the latter converted a Joe Brock try.
However, Mose replied with Tighe Maxwell-Whiteley on target after Sam Pointon’s try, the kicker with the first points of the second half for 15-10.
Lewis landed a penalty to reduce the deficit to two points, but a Pat Zindi try and conversion and penalty from Maxwell-Whiteley had Birmingham up 25-13 early in the final quarter.
And despite Toby Cousins grabbing a try at the death, it was only enough to earn Leicester a losing bonus-point.
Rams made it six wins from sixth with a gritty 26-10 home success against Bishop’s Stortford.
