Fraser Honey converted a James Baker try before the hosts levelled through Jimmy Litchfield and Callum Grieve.
A Honey penalty nudged Rams back in front, but two converted maul tries from Will Goffey and Lucas Schmid’s seven-pointer made it 28-10 at the break.
The back row completed his hat-trick as Grieve remained perfect, Jack Rampton scoring his first try as Honey cut the gap to 42-17.
However, Xavier Hastings crossed for the hosts, leaving Ollie Hodgson’s late effort as a consolation.

Roth hopes ended
Rotherham Titans were the only side who could have denied Richmond, but their 31-24 loss at Blackheath saw the Yorkshiremen drop to third.
Although Lloyd Hayes added to an early Harry Newborn try for Roth, an Auguy Slowik double and one from Jake Lloyd, plus a Tom Ffitch kick, put Club 17-7 up.
Titans hit back through Cuchalain Livingstone, Jordan Burns and Ffitch replying before Ronnie du Randt made it 24-17 at half-time.
A converted Tom Baldwin score gave Blackheath breathing space, and meant Charlie Capps’ late seven-pointer was not enough.

Rosslyn continue to thrive
Rosslyn Park are up to second following a 45-24 home success against Sedgley Park – a seventh straight win and 12th in 13 games.
The hosts took control as Joe Luca Smith and Benji Marfo dotted down, Josh Bragman adding to the second, Sedge on the board through Lewis Bradley and the boot of Oli Glasse.
A converted Rosslyn try from Harry Ledger was replied to by a Glasse penalty, but Ewan Fenley helped put the Londoners 26-10 up at the interval.
Fenley doubled up before Tigers crossed through Matt Sturgess, both converted, further hope for the visitors coming as Luke Cox sealed a bonus.
Yet Rosslyn regathered, and tries from Jasper Cameron and hat-trick man Fenley sealed the deal, Steffan James with a conversion.

Lions creep closer to safety
Second-bottom Leicester Lions were pipped at the death 41-39 at Dings Crusaders, but the two match points they picked up leaves them just one adrift of out-of-form Esher.
The Eees suffered another dispiriting afternoon as Birmingham Moseley crushed the hosts 59-19, the Midlanders racing into a 28-0 lead thanks to tries from Harry Barnes, Ryan Roach, Aquile Smith and Ollie Allsopp, plus four Tommy Taylor conversions.
Esher got off the mark before the break thanks to Olly Norris, Sam Morley with the extras, and crossed out wide early in the second period.
But Moseley regrouped as Taylor converted his own try and Jack Jolly landed after Freddie Painter touched down.
Two more scores from Tuoyo Egodo and Smith took the visitors past 50, and while Harry Faulkner gave Esher hopes of a try bonus, it was Egodo who had the final word.

Wins for Albion and Stortford
Plymouth Albion leapfrogged Rams into fifth following a 39-26 triumph at relegated Darlington Mowden Park, while Bishop’s Stortford won their mid-table tussle 34-26 at Sale for a fourth straight success.
The hosts went ahead as Will Davies converted Stone Priestley-Nangle’s early try, only for Stortford to roar back with Declan Murphy (two), Austin Pope and Alex Rayment all touching down as Mike Cooke slotted two kicks for a 24-7 half-time lead.
A James Robins try reduced the arrears, but he was then sin-binned before Cooke nudged over a penalty and converted Murphy’s hat-trick.
And despite Davies adding to late tries from Josh Brown and Sean Street, it was too little, too late.
