With his easy-going manner and a friendly word for everyone, his enthusiasm for the game very soon made him a key member, playing his way through the Club wherever selected.
By the time Ian had finished his spell as Team Secretary (1974-77), his company Bratt Auto Services were regular (and sole) advertisers in the Fixture Card.
His support for the Club had no boundaries and Ian was Sports Club Representative from both 1977-79 and 1990-92.
He captained the “A” XV for two seasons (1980-82) and The Old Redingensians* veteran’s side (1985-87).
Ian became President in 1992. While building his business, MVF Group, he always found time for his rugby, and for all the many good friends he made along the way.
We shall miss him, but he leaves us with a family full of supporters.
Thank you El Presidente!
John Taylor
