Impressive Windsor No. 8 Will Moss got the show on the road for the hosts after five minutes, a superb individual score seeing the back row brush off a couple of would-be tacklers before running in from 45 metres.
Reading University fly-half George Tomlinson made no mistake with a straight-forward conversion, and the lead was doubled soon after as Bicknell – who continues to show an excellent nose for the try-line, darted over after a maul had been stopped just short.
The extras were again added before a brilliant third Berkshire score, Moss on the charge again before a fabulous off-load kept Bicknell hurtling further forward, Windsor wing Mark Venter stopped just short before Uni ace Phil Poppy got the ball down for another converted try.
Hosts extend lead
Berkshire continued to put their foot on the gas and led 28-0 at the break following a close-range score, Surrey getting themselves on the board five minutes into the second period.
However, the hosts stopped any chance of a further comeback and added a final gloss to the scoreline as Pett-Ridge went over late on, Tomlinson completing the scoring.
Other Rams players to feature in a satisfying win were prop Ollie Ireland and scrum-half Louis Roumignac, while Tomlinson and powerful three-quarter Isaac Tokura have featured for the Development XV alongside their Uni outings, Newbury second row also starting at Oxford University for the Old Bath Road side.
The Royal County’s Jason Leonard Championship games are due to be at home to Warwickshire on Sunday, March 30 and at Dorset & Wiltshire on April 27.
