The boys left it late but got off to a fine start at Sedgley Park with a bonus-point win, so please cheer them on when Dings Crusaders arrive on Saturday (3pm).
In terms of upgrades, the expansion of the bar at the far end of the main pitch, which has been kindly sponsored by Mark Bennett of Sheeplands Farm, will be known as the ‘Sheeplands Baaa’ and will hopefully reduce the wait times for refreshments.
A large LED screen will be on show for the first time on Saturday, and while this will be the main scoreboard during the match, there will also be player photos and sponsor details displayed – I am sure this will add to the atmosphere at OBR.
From the hospitality side, Stephen and his team will do their utmost to ensure you have a good day out with Rams and our excellent Chef Tor will be providing delicious fayre at the pre-match lunches.

I could not possibly send out this note without recognising the work of all the volunteers who have worked tirelessly through the summer to ensure our pitches and facilities are in the best possible shape – The Friday Club, irrigation team and maintenance group are to be applauded.

John is passionate about improving the spectator experience at Level Three and Four and there will be a new set of minimum standards introduced to encourage clubs to improve their facilities.
I look forward to seeing you at OBR soon and would encourage you to bring along your friends to a matchday – it would be great if we can get the average attendance above 1000 and I know the new-look squad are excited to be playing in front of the Ramily.
