Get to know more about members of the Ramily!

Our weekly series continues with another stalwart of the club - Rob Dyer!

Year joined: 1982 – as a junior.

Role: Titans (2nd XV) manager

Best rugby memory: Playing for the 1st XV with my brother for a few games during the 1992 season.

Worst rugby memory: Breaking my shoulder in 1997 – it proved to be career-ending.

Favourite food: Katsu curry

Favourite drink: Anything free after a game!

Favourite travel destination: United States

Favourite Rams try: There have been some amazing ones in terms of drama – (Jak) Rossiter at Henley (January 2019) and Henry (Bird) at home to Chinnor last year. But the best I think was a team try against Plymouth Albion in the last game before Christmas last year. We went from under our own posts, from coast-to-coast up the field and Tom Vooght finished it off. Just sensational.

Favourite ever try: Jonah Lomu’s against England where he ran over the top of about four of them was the most stunning.

Favourite ever player(s): Dan Carter and Martin Johnson.

Favourite current player: Maro Itoje – amazing.

Other hobbies: Sport and socialising.

Favourite TV show: Don’t watch much TV, but possibly Question of Sport?

Favourite musician: Paul Weller.

Favourite song: Changing Man by Paul Weller.

Favourite rugby ground(s): Twickenham and Jersey.

Second team: Rams Titans (joint favourite!)

Favourite other sports: Cricket, golf, football.

One rule change you'd make in rugby: Speed up the scrum.

Best thing about Rams RFC: Such a family club.
