The former London Irish, Welsh and Scottish scrum-half joined Rams in June 2023 and made a try-scoring debut in the 41-20 victory at Sedgley Park.
He went onto make 16 appearances in his maiden campaign, adding another try against Cinderford.
Ed was then outstanding in the opening three games of the following campaign, masterminding one of the club’s best-ever Level Three successes against Sale FC.
But in the final moments of the 33-0 home triumph, he suffered a serious knee injury which ruled him out for more than a year.
The No. 9 returned at Clifton last October and went onto play a further 13 games, taking his current Rams’ tally to 33.

Bicknell and Pett-Ridge ready to kick on
Hooker Harry Bicknell is set for a third campaign at OBR after making his first-team debut last term.
The former London Irish Academy man arrived from Windsor in the summer of 2024 and went onto top the Development XV try-scoring charts.
The 20-year-old repeated the trick last season and made his National One debut in the 38-24 victory at Leicester Lions.
A South-West U20s pick in 2024/25, Harry will be looking to push on again this year.

Finally, former Mini Theo Pett-Ridge adds versatility across the back line.
Joining as a six-year-old, Theo helped the Colts to back-to-back unbeaten OBB Division One title triumphs in 2023/24 and the following season.
His side also reached the semi-finals of the National Cup in the former.
Able to play at fly-half, in midfield or at full-back, Theo was part of the Berkshire U20s side which reached the semi-finals of the Jason Leonard County Championship recently.
They ultimately lost to Hertfordshire, but his efforts earned a place in the South West squad for games against Midlands and the North.
A prolific try-scorer in the Development XV, he will be hunting a first-team debut in the 2026/27 campaign.

Ed, Harry and Theo take the number of players back at Old Bath Road for another season to 21, with nine new signings already announced.
