Following the hammering in Rotherham seven days before, things took a turn for the worse inside a minute as Luke Mehson opened the scoring for the visitors.
Rams replied through debutant Alex Mannhardt, but two converted tries in four minutes had Park on top at the end of the first quarter.
Charlie Walker and Tom Stanton were the duo to dot down.
The hosts again responded, however, Axel Kalling-Smith crossing in Clubhouse Corner.
But despite dominating into the wind they were unable to narrow the gap before the break, and were then hit with a sucker-punch two minutes into the second period, Rosslyn fly-half Ed Morgan sniping over.
He was again on target with the conversion, and then landed a penalty for 29-12.
And while Rams showed plenty of endeavour, they lacked the quality to pull things back as Max Fraine made the game safe with seven minutes to play, Luc Smith with the extras.
Second half proves frustrating
The home team grabbed a late consolation through Zach Clow, and Seb admitted: “There was fight among the lads.
“They challenged each other to show something after last week and fair play because we could have capitulated.
“The biggest disappointment is it was a very winnable game.
“We had momentum despite playing into the wind in the first half, looked dangerous and scored some good tries.
“We were winning the collisions and showing some pride in front of our supporters.
“But in the second half we struggled to balance the conditions with the wind and how we wanted to control the tempo.”
He continued: “To concede straight after half time was a killer.
“We had a couple of moments of ill-discipline which put us down on our try line and then they kicked the penalty.
“At that stage we needed to be building from 19-12 down, but it wasn’t the case.
“While we’re incredibly disappointed not to win, we at least provided some moments.”
While a basketball-style scoreline had been predicted pre-match between the sides in fifth and sixth, both defences kept something of a lid on things.
Lack of experience a problem
And the DoR admitted: “Credit to both teams. You might have expected it to be more high-scoring, so it was different to what we thought could happen with both sides in the 40s.
“I’ve got to credit a lot of our young players.
“They’ve fought throughout the year and done well, but we’ve probably lacked tactical quality at times to put games to bed.
“It’s an experience thing. The challenge as individuals is how they can make themselves better players for next season.
“This year has provided good and bad experiences which must be used.
“It’s a struggle, not easy, but training during the week was excellent.
“Everyone is putting their heart and soul into it and we’re looking forward to next week.
“And finally, the support was again incredible. We truly appreciate it.”
