The Cardiff Met sports coaching graduate played in the BUCS Super League and also captained the Welsh Premiership side in his final year, before he returns to Berkshire to study a PGCE at Reading University.
Having grown up in Newbury and first playing rugby as an 11-year-old at Park House School – the same Alma Mater as Rams’ skipper Max Hayman – the flanker joined his home town club before switching to Hungerford.
When they did not have a Colts side Max made the move to Reading Abbey, also captaining Berkshire Under 18s before heading to Wales and now Old Bath Road.
