TEAM NEWS: AUSTIN SKIPPERS AND SWAIN STARTS AGAINST LEEDS

PETE Austin skippers a Rams side making five changes for their National One home game against Leeds Tykes tomorrow (3pm).

The Army captain – fresh off a brace of tries at Tonbridge Juddians – is joined in the front row by Ant Marris and Ryan Lomas.

Marris steps up from the bench to record a 121st cap against the side he reached a century at last October.

Ollie Stirling is back along alongside Ryan Cozens in the engine room, Liam Saayman switching to blind-side.

Fresh from an outing for the Development XV at Cambridge University, 2024/25 Players’ Player of the Year Dan Swain returns.

He comes in at open-side after a year in Australia and a month getting back to full force in Berkshire.

The pack is completed by Player of the Week at TJs, Alex Ridgway, moved to No. 8.

Tokura, Kirwan back in three-quarters

Matt Wickham and Ross McKay remain unchanged at half-back, but Isaac Tokura earns a first start at his preferred inside centre.

The former Berkshire Under 20s ace, who played on the wing against Bishop’s Stortford, replaces the injured Ellis Jones.

Matt Blee makes it eight straight appearances outside him, while Zach Clow switches to the left wing.

Fit-again Henry Kirwan comes in on the right with Axel Kalling-Smith on Sweden duty.

And Darren Atkins rounds out the starting 15 at full back.

Paddy Harris and Sam Stirling are the replacement props, with Ben Atkins covering the back row.

Mikey McDonald is the reserve scrum-half for the third game in a row, while Connor Burns could take the tally of players used this term to 37.

An ex-Reading junior, he is fit-again to add impact among the back three following a hamstring injury.

The former Miami Shark returned to Berkshire from America in the summer and scored two tries in the pre-season trip to Aberavon.

Front row Max Marshall, flanker Mikey Duda and scrum-half Arthur Garfield are travelling reserves.

The trio helped Rams Under 23s beat Oxford University Greyhounds 43-7 last night.

For discounted tickets, book here before midnight tonight (Friday).

There is plenty of off-field entertainment planned and supporters are reminded the best fancy dress will win two tickets to the Camborne game on Saturday, November 14.
