TEAM NEWS: MARSHALL AND DUDA START FOR UNDER 23s

RAMS Under 23s name seven players with National One experience for tonight’s fixture against Oxford University Greyhounds (7.45pm).

Leading from the front are loose-head prop Max Marshall and prolific try-scoring hooker Harry Bicknell.

Former two-time OBB Division One Colts title-winner Jake Scott completes the front row.

Ex-London Irish Senior Academy ace Ollie Agar and Devon U20s alumni Ben Zacharias are in the engine room.

Open-side flanker Mikey Duda is the most experienced player in the squad with five tries in 35 Nat One appearances.

He is flanked by ex-Colts skipper Aaron Preston and No. 8 Darren Bold.

Arthur Garfield and George Tomlinson are others with Level Three caps and link-up again at half-back following last Wednesday’s Development XV game at Cambridge University.

Bath University graduate Gus Stapleton made his debut at Grange Road and takes the No. 12 jersey.

Another former Mini turned two-time Colts title-winner, Luke Thorpe, is outside him.

Jack Mapletoft crossed the whitewash at Cambridge last time out and starts on the left wing with scope to switch to scrum-half.

Theo starts at full-back

And the back three is completed by Alec Formela and another youth graduate, Theo Pett-Ridge.

The full back has featured five teams for the first team this season and came close to grabbing a try at Tonbridge Juddians 12 days ago.

Versatile prop JJ Wozniak can play on both sides of the scrum and also has a quintet of first-team appearances this term.

Andrich Skein and debutant Eoin Tomlinson are the other front-two options from the bench.

Dynamic tyro Will Parsons proved a force to be reckoned with in the pre-season games versus Oxford Harlequins and Brunel University, and the flanker will once again look to catch the eye.

Fresh from a spell at the Tag World Cup representing Great Britain in Australia, JJ McCarthy heads the three-quarter replacements.

Reading University man Jone Frederick is joined by Gethin Svenson-Davies in completing the 22.

Entry is free for the game with food and drink on sale. Gates open from 6pm.
